I was born and raised in Taos, NM. I was adopted at age 11 after being in foster care. This led to my passion to pursue a career to help serve families and children and inspired me to become a social worker. I attended New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM, where I received a Bachelor of Political Science: Law Emphasis; a Bachelor of Social Work and went on to pursue a clinical graduate degree, Master of Social Work, where I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. My work experience is in the field of child welfare and school social work, where I have served families and children for over a decade. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, with vast experience in childhood trauma and has a wealth of knowledge working with families who have adopted children who are survivors of trauma and abuse. My approach is very holistic, where I implement mind, body, and spirit. I am passionate about engaging with individuals to achieve their mental health goals, while creating a safe and serene environment. My hobbies include learning and growing as a person and clinician, as well as traveling and taking my dogs for car rides.
