Introduction

Dr. Vanessa R. Abernathy is a Clinical Psychologist, Mindset Consultant and Liberation Theologian whose aim it is to transform systems that oppress people, such that people might rise from surviving to thriving. She provides psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families in her California and North Carolina practices. Her clinical interests include, but are not limited to, emotional abuse recovery, identity development in LGBTQQIA+ college students, integration of spirituality and psychology and recovery from interpersonal injury such as infidelity. In the future, she would like to partner with other invested professionals to raise awareness and facilitate reform in the U.S. Family Court system as it relates to emotional, verbal, financial and spiritual abuse in divorce cases. Dr. V Says: I work best with clients who are ready for honest, collaborative therapy—people who have tried on their own and now want support making meaningful change. Whether recovering from toxic relationships, rebuilding self-worth, or reconnecting with purpose, my clients value clear goals, ways to extend the work between sessions, personal growth, and deeper connection with others without self-loss. They seek a seasoned therapist who treats them with dignity and respect. Together, we focus on authentic living, reclaiming core values, and building a life that feels more loving, alive, and true. I offer integrative therapy using cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based tools to help clients feel more empowered and less stuck. I honor each client’s unique background, including faith and culture, and often support spiritual practices as part of healing. You’re the expert on you—I'm here to help with evidence-based, culturally sensitive care. If you have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, you don’t have to do it alone. I offer compassionate, culturally sensitive therapy tailored to you. Let’s connect—reach out for a free phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit for your journey toward healing, clarity, and growth. *** Please note that therapy services are for NC and CA residents only. Speaking engagements, workshops and online courses are global.*** Ebook: unbaitable-u.com Triumph Over Narcissist Abuse
