Licensed in Massachusetts, Texas, and North Carolina, I have been working with individuals and couples for the past 15+ years. I was trained in NYC and Boston, and worked in the Boston area for a number of years before moving to Texas for 6 years. I have found myself back in New England and have a passion for working with those in early recovery from addiction, with those who are members of the LGBT community and/or have recently experienced loss in their personal life. I've worked in community mental health, emergency rooms, and in private practice settings with those experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, grief/loss, and trauma. I am both a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I am a Certified Leader in "The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work" and a Gottman Institute Level 3 trained clinician. I've helped dozens of families apply research-supported principles to their relationships, enabling them to find greater satisfaction. I specialize in working with not only married couples but with those in polyamorous partnerships and open relationships. FOR INDIVIDUALS: We will work one-on-one through any anxiety or prolonged sadness in response to change, life events, relationships, or the other challenges that life can present. We will together figure out what you've been doing to try to manage that stress, what isn't working, and how to do something different that works to make your life more meaningful. FOR COUPLES: We can either meet weekly for sessions, or I offer a 10-week program we can work through together, which is structured, task-oriented, and provides you with specific tools for improving your relationship. Both the 10-week program and ongoing couples sessions begin with an Assessment Phase which includes an online assessment through the Gottman Institute, a history-taking session with both partners, and a feedback/treatment planning session. My hope for you is a lasting relationship; that your differences are respected and bring you closer together, rather than dividing you, whether you’ve been dating for a few months or have recently celebrated a milestone anniversary. Either way, as a person in long-term recovery and a member of the LGBT population with clinical training in both, I offer a special ability to connect with the people I work with. Feel free to reach out and send me a message or simply schedule an appointment here! I look forward to our first appointment!!
