My hopes that therapy can also be a space where you are fully known, fully valued, and understood. My goal is to support your growth and healing, in order to live an exciting and fulfilling life. I most often work with people who have experienced complex trauma, and struggle with addictive or out-of-control patterns as a result. I work to provide an intersectional feminist lense for therapy and family systems theory to understand the individual in the context of their environment and experiences. I am especially skilled at helping clients with trauma or PTSD by using EMDR. I strongly believe in the value of unconditional positive regard for my clients, and work to help my clients feel validated, respected, and cared for. I also believe that therapy can be an incredible catalyst for change, and a life changing experience. Hope is an integral part of counseling, and I encourage the theme of hope throughout the therapeutic process. I also believe that humor is an essential part of coping with difficulties in life, and utilize humor throughout my sessions whenever appropriate.
