Introduction

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a therapist. At 17, I was pregnant, just trying to survive more than I could name. I was carrying pain, pressure, and responsibility far beyond my years. But I kept going. And now I’ve built a space for people who’ve had to do the same. My son, my sun, was one of the reasons I kept rising, even when everything around me felt heavy. Becoming a mother didn’t erase the struggle, but it gave me light when I needed it most. I was raised by a single mother who held it down for four of us with little more than faith, grit, and determination. We didn’t have much, but we had love and survival instincts. I became a first-generation college student, navigating systems I was never taught to understand. That experience shaped me deeply. I know what it means to fight for a future you can’t fully see yet. I know what it feels like to be strong because you had no other choice. I’m Tal’Meisha Frontis (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHC-S), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I’m also the founder of Keke’s Sunflower Garden Therapy & Counseling PLLC. I named this practice in honor of my sister, Keke, who passed away too soon. She battled chronic illness and mental health challenges with more grace than most people will ever understand. Even while navigating her own storms, she poured into others. Her reminder to “take care of yourself” lives at the heart of this work. I call it a garden because healing takes time. It’s not always pretty. Some days are muddy, and some days feel like nothing is growing. But transformation happens beneath the surface. You don’t have to come into therapy with all the answers. You just need a space that feels safe enough to begin. That’s what this space is for. I offer virtual therapy for children, teens, and adults across North Carolina. I work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, family cycles, identity exploration, relationship stress, and the everyday weight of trying to hold it all together. I’ve supported clients impacted by domestic violence, DSS involvement, incarceration and reentry, and those who have been silenced or overlooked by the systems around them. I also work with people who may not know what to call what they’re feeling...they just know they’re tired, overwhelmed, or stuck. Therapy with me is real. You don’t have to be perfect, polished, or put together. I bring my full self into the room, and I hold space for you to do the same. My approach is relational, culturally aware, and shaped by both clinical training and lived experience. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and not judged for their process. Whether you're in survival mode or seeking space to grow, we’ll start right where you are. I also offer clinical supervision for provisionally licensed therapists (LCMHC-As) across North Carolina. Supervision with me blends honest feedback, skill-building, reflection, and care. I know what it feels like to grow into this work while also still learning how to care for yourself. You can become a strong clinician without losing your voice or your values. The garden is open to anyone seeking support, healing, and growth. You don’t have to meet a certain diagnosis or be in crisis to belong here. If something in you says this might be the right space, you are welcome here. All sessions are offered virtually and are available to clients throughout the state of North Carolina. **KSG is currently in network with select insurances such as AETNA and CAROLINA COMPLETE (Medicaid) with additional insurance panels expected soon. * Private pay options are available, and a limited number of sliding scale slots are offered based on financial need. If affordability is a concern, I welcome a conversation about what feels manageable for you. "Come as you are. Grow how you need. Take care of yourself in between."🌻 Coaching services and guest speaking services are also available. 📞 Phone: 704-918-5794 🌐 Website: simplyksg.com 📧 Email: kekessunflowergarden@gmail.com Please note: Email is not a guaranteed secure form of communication.
