Introduction

Welcome! I have been in the field of mental health for 30+ years. I have always been interested in relationships and how we relate to other people. It is my goal to provide an empathetic, non-judgmental and accepting environment for others to discover their own strengths and become the person they want to become. I specialize in treating adults 18 years and older with depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD and trauma related symptoms, parenting, relationship issues and life transitions. I am licensed in the State of Iowa and I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, also from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, I have a Master of Arts degree in Health Care Administration from Des Moines University. I obtained national certification in Mental Health Counseling and I hold a specialty certification as a Nationally Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, biking and exploring what nature has to offer.
