Introduction

As a therapist, I believe each client is unique, requiring an equally unique and personalized approach to address their concerns. We begin by exploring your current wellness using a holistic assessment. From here, we establish attainable goals to help you identify and address your concerns. Although I believe that healing takes place in the present, exploring experiences in your past that may be impacting you today and holding you back from being your authentic self is often central to the counseling process. Sessions may include identifying values, processing past experiences, exploring bodily sensation, thought and behavioral patterns, assessing and developing coping strategies, building skills to regulate the nervous system, psychoeducation, expression, and more. Techniques and methods that I bring into session include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based stress reduction, self-compassion, solution-focused brief therapy techniques, narrative therapy exercises, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills training, expressive arts, psychodrama, nature-based experiences, and other eclectic and innovative strategies that may be helpful to your healing. I believe that my clients have the potential to know themselves deeply and live in a way that honors that. I love being a mental health counselor and member of the rich and diverse community of helping professionals in the profoundly beautiful, quirky, and dynamic Spokane area. I am deeply grateful to the people who make my dreams and this practice possible. It is my true pleasure to walk with you on this path of self-discovery, bearing witness to you reaching your goals and falling in love with yourself.
