What if you could stop “managing” your mental health? I work with individuals whose lives are “complicated,” deeply understand why they do what they do, and still can’t seem to get better. With a focus on "intellectualizers”, trauma, and chronic illness, I work with folks who are sick of coping, and want to start healing. As a therapist, I got sick and tired of seeing clients get told that deep-breathing and “reframing” will solve all of their problems. That’s when I started focusing on evidenced-based approaches that target the “why” behind people’s distress. These approaches include relational therapy, psychodynamic therapy, drama therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and somatic therapy.
