My clients are processing traumas and rebuilding their lives in ways that feel healthy. They are looking for tools to make life more manageable and support when they feel alone in the difficulty. In addition to working with individuals, couples and parents seek counseling with me for intimacy, communication, and trust-building. I also work to support adolescents living in two homes, exploring sexual and gender identities, starting new schools, or experiencing depression and anxiety. Through the container of therapy, we build trust and familiarity. Using EMDR and Mindfulness, I address the root of dysregulation causing psychological distress. As we build out your capacity for groundedness, we explore how memories and stories formed and imagine new ones suited to your values, increasing fulfillment while decreasing unwanted symptoms. When we first meet, I'd like to get a sense of what brought you into therapy, who you are, and where you're coming from. As I get to know your story, we map the landscape of your life and learn to articulate your therapy goals. We can hold the uncomfortable parts of existence together and tap into your capacity for resilience.
