As a clinician, I use curiosity and empathy to support clients in processing traumas, breaking through unhelpful patterns, and making room for positive change. My clients are working on their relationships, redefining themselves as parents, processing traumas, and rebuilding their lives in ways that feel healthy. As a mother, couples and parents seek counseling with me for intimacy, communication and trust-building. Folks navigating neurodiversity and self-esteem as well as those exploring their sexuality or overcoming addictions will find this to be an open and nonjudgemental space to try out new ways of being. As a poetry professor in my early life, I became familiar with the many faces of trauma. Navigating vulnerable terrain - recovery from abuse, voicing unique values - individual's need validation and support. I draw from Mindfulness and Evidence-Based interventions, easing clients into the present where they can be active agents in their own lives. When we first meet, I'd like to get a sense of what brought you into therapy, who you are, and where you're coming from. As I get to know your story, we map the landscape of your life and learn to articulate your therapy goals. The healing path is unique, and I'm here to support clients in trusting themselves even when the way through feels unclear.
