Introduction

We humans are blessed with a big brain, and with it comes overthinking! Past experiences can overwhelm our system, and the unknowable future can be frightening too. Without effective coping skills, we run the risk of developing self-sabotaging habits that address our discomfort only in the short term--avoiding situations, abusing drugs/alcohol/gaming/food/relationships--and prolong our discomfort in the long term. My clients enjoy long-lasting change thanks to wholehearted, mutual engagement in therapy. An EMDRia-Certified provider of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I offer this and other evidence-based therapies for the treatment of anxiety/stress, anger, trauma, sex abuse, low self-esteem, and depression for clients 18 years and up. It is not easy being human, but you and I--and all humanity--are in this together. You do not suffer alone!
