Introduction

I’m a licensed clinical social worker in Connecticut and a licensed independent social worker in Massachusetts, with 12 years of experience in private agency practice. I am trained and experienced in supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, behavioral and mood disorders, trauma, learning differences and more. My approach is compassionate, flexible, personalized, and grounded in evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. I graduated from the University of Connecticut, School of Social Work, after discovering my passion for providing care for individuals on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities. With this background and training, over the past 15 years I have provided consultation to school systems on implementing learning strategies and behavioral supports targeted to individual students’ needs. Seeing young people work on learning a new skill, overcoming obstacles, and achieving their goals was profoundly inspirational for me. This strengthened my passion for advocating, creating a safe space, and ensuring that any individual—no matter what age—can work on learning new skills and be as independent as possible. As my education and experience expanded, I have also provided in-home services and have worked in residential treatment centers for adults with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and behavioral concerns. During my education and training, I’ve recognized that not only does the individual need support, but their family members and other people who are important to them need the same. As a result, I currently provide a wide range of services to children, young adults, teenagers, families, and adults. I follow an evidence-based and clinically sound approach based in cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis. I’m committed to helping people overcome barriers to independence and achieve their goals. I put my clients first, working with them to establish a safe and therapeutic environment in which they can increase their skills—not only to navigate life’s challenges, but to thrive.
