BA in Psychology with a double minor in Sociology and Law, Justice and Social Control from Chapman University 2021 MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University 2024 I completed my practicum at Chapman University in Orange County through the Frances Smith Center for Individuals and Families, as well as the Wooden Floor in Santa Ana and physical therapy programs in Irvine. Throughout that year, I gained clinical skills while working with diverse populations and different experiences. I have experience working and facilitating family sessions, group sessions, parent sessions and communicating with other health care professionals regarding care. Can see clients via telehealth, as well as in person in Redondo Beach. Sessions are 50 minutes for individuals and 90 minutes for caregivers or couples. I decided to pursue a career in mental health services due to my own personal experiences, as well as noticing an increase in negative stigma surrounding mental health. I wanted to be a safe place where individuals felt heard, supported, and understood. My areas of focus include children, teens, young adults, individuals, couples and families. I work primarily with those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, personality disorders, life transitions, body image and self esteem, childhood trauma, stress management, substance abuse, and family dynamics or conflict. I am trained in DBT, EFT, Play Therapy, CBT, ACT, SFT Attachment Based Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, Art Therapy, IFS and Mindfulness. I primarily work through a collaborative approach, where I work directly with the client to fulfill their needs, wants, and goals. As well, I combine several different common interventions and techniques based on each client’s individual needs. My personal experiences allow me to connect with clients on a more genuine level, while also providing a space where they feel comfortable sharing vulnerable emotions and experiences. I strive to provide clients with a non judgmental environment, compassion, empathy, and support. I strongly believe the first step to creating a treatment plan, is to have a strong and healthy positive therapeutic relationship. Clients of mine will feel heard, understood, and above all safe. My favorite and most used intervention with clients involves the ability to utilize creative techniques in order to help them express emotions or vulnerable. The most common interventions I use are music, art, journaling, letter writing and play therapy. I am also a tutor for children, teens and young adults who have learning disabilities. Given that, I am very educated when it comes to school counseling, IEP’s and 504’s. I take pleasure in being a voice for those who do not feel heard and being an advocate.
