Rebecca Ciesla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is an EMDR certified therapist and EMDRIA approved consultant for EMDR. She is also IFS informed, Hypnotherapy trained and combines these approaches with EMDR or uses them separately when appropriate. She is currently licensed in the State of Illinois. Rebecca specializes in providing attachment-focused, trauma-informed, & culturally attuned therapy for transitional age youth, adults, and groups. She likes working with diverse populations including groups that have experienced marginalization such as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People of Color), and LGBTQIA+. Rebecca began her EMDR Basic Training journey back in 2017. Rebecca graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She then went on to receive a Master of Social Work degree from Eastern Washington University. She has been in the Mental Health field for over 20 years. Rebecca has worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient, community mental health, homes, hospitals, crisis settings, and domestic violence centers. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with Grief and Loss, Domestic Violence, & Sexual Assault as well as medical trauma, and end of life care. Rebecca enjoys speaking about Mental Health related topics to help educate the public & reduce stigma.
