Are intense emotions making it hard to stay grounded or connected—to others or to yourself? Whether it’s anxiety, anger, jealousy, depression, or emotional sensitivity, you may feel stuck in patterns that hurt your relationships or your sense of self. You might struggle to cope without shutting down, lashing out, or using substances. I help individuals learn to manage big emotions, build self-awareness, and create space for healing. Together, we will explore patterns of behavior you find yourself stuck in, and learn skills that will help you slow down your thoughts and reactions. You will learn to step outside the storm of emotions and offer yourself clarity and calm. I use an eclectic approach (including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness tools) to help you build skills, feel more stable, and move toward the life you want to live. If you are struggling with substance use, we will discuss harm reduction methods and Medication-Assisted Treatment for Alcohol and Opioid Use Disorders that can support your recovery journey. We will work on developing a recovery plan that incorporates skills to help you manage your use and meet your recovery goals. My approach is warm and non-judgmental, and I encourage my clients to view themselves in a similar light. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss how we can work together to support your needs. I look forward to hearing from you!
