Introduction

My name is Pete and I'm the Owner and Therapist at Heart of Man Counseling. It is my firm conviction that beneath our thoughts, emotions, and actions (wanted or unwanted) are motivations often beyond our own understanding. Healing begins with understanding. Understanding happens through reflection on honest truths. A man who does not know why he does what he does is a man in need of help. This is where I hope to join you. Through my own broken journey, and decades of experience and training, I help men move through, and beyond, difficult seasons of life brought on by sexual addiction, early childhood neglect and abuse, debilitating shame, and spiritual crisis. My background includes over 20 years of pastoral ministry, clinical counseling, and behavioral healthcare leadership where I have enjoyed empowering others in their journey of recovery from mental illness, addictions, and spiritual struggles. Additionally, I have a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Divinity, both from Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners # LAC-23129. This is a supervised private practice. It is owned and/or managed by a master’s level, non-independent licensee under Board-approved clinical supervision pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211. The Board-approved clinical supervisor of this practice is: Name: Daniel Orozco, LPC Phone Number: (520) 257-1168 Email: dsoconsulting1@gmail.com
