With nearly three decades of experience in psychiatry, focusing on neuropsychiatric conditions that affect mood and cognition, my goal is to deliver new, effective therapies to those struggling with depression, anxiety, post-COVID syndromes, cognitive impairments, and more. With my extensive background in neuropsychopharmacology (and affiliations with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School as Director of Photobiomodulation and Associate Professor respectively), I always start with the most scientifically proven treatments. I ensure that my approach aligns with the latest, evidence-based standards. At times, traditional treatments might not be suitable due to inadequate response, side effects or individual preferences. In these cases, I offer alternative options like transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) with infrared light, a safe, experimental approach I have been pioneering at MGH. This treatment is available in our specialty clinic since 2016. Choosing the right treatment can be overwhelming, and I am here to help simplify that process. My mission is to provide scientifically-informed clinical care, that not only adheres to approved treatments, but also explores beyond them when medically justified. Together, we can find the best path forward for you or your loved one.
