Hi! My name is Nancie Henley. I am a trauma therapist and clinical social worker who has been working in the field for almost 25 years. I began my work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in 2001 in Northern New Mexico. Since then, I have provided services to individuals and families all over the country. Currently, I am based in Washington, DC where I provide Individual psychotherapy services to survivors of acute and complex trauma. I enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am Queer, Kink, Poly, and Trans Affirming. My approach is an eclectic, relational, and dialectical. I am largely influenced by Buddhist psychology and psychoanalytic object relations theory. My primary modalities for intervention are Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I also bring an attachment based lens to relationships and conflict.
