I’ve always been the one people come to when things feel heavy. Even as a teen, I was the quiet safe space — the friend who listened without judgment and held stories with care. That gift eventually became a calling, and today, it’s the heart of my work as a therapist. I’m a licensed professional counselor, mom, and founder of Mending Wings to Soar — a therapy practice dedicated to helping moms, kids, and caregivers regulate, connect, and thrive. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University in 2007 and bring over 15 years of experience walking alongside children and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and stress. Before starting my private practice, I spent over a decade leading trauma-informed programs for children in residential treatment and therapeutic foster care. Those early years deepened my belief in people’s resilience — and taught me how to hold space for healing, even in the most chaotic circumstances. My work is informed by training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). While I’m not certified in all of these modalities, I use their tools to support clients with compassion, structure, and a personalized path forward. I specialize in: • Supporting moms who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like they’ve lost themselves while carrying it all • Helping children and preteens manage big emotions, school stress, or social struggles • Working with caregivers and parents in a supportive role alongside their child’s individual therapy (not traditional family therapy) My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are not broken — just in need of space to heal. Whether you’re a mom seeking calm in the chaos or a parent noticing your child is struggling, we’ll work together to build inner strength, clarity, and sustainable emotional tools. You don’t have to hold it all alone. You just have to start.
