Introduction

Hi, I’m Lauren—a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Modern Relational Therapy LLC. I started this practice with the belief that therapy should feel personal, intentional, and deeply supportive—not clinical or cold. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating grief, healing old wounds, or feeling stuck in painful relationship patterns. My style is warm, honest, and collaborative. I show up with compassion, but I’ll also gently challenge the beliefs and behaviors that might be getting in your way. I’m not a therapist who just nods—I’m here to help you make real, meaningful change. I support clients through a range of experiences, including grief and loss (especially the kind that feels hard to name, like ambiguous loss), trauma and PTSD from childhood or past relationships, and intergenerational pain that still lingers in the present. I also work with people struggling in their relationships—whether it's around emotional disconnection, infidelity, rebuilding trust, or navigating parenting and separation. For many, therapy with me becomes a space to rediscover their self-worth, make peace with the past, and move into adulthood feeling more grounded and empowered. My approach is relational and trauma-informed. I draw from EMDR, the Gottman Method, Contextual Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy—but more importantly, I personalize the process to fit you. There’s no one-size-fits-all here. I take my time to really understand who you are and what you need, so that we can create something meaningful together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels human, intentional, and rooted in real connection, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
