Hi, I’m Michaela. I know how difficult it can be to try and find the right therapist for yourself or your child. It can seem like an overwhelming task when you are already struggling. I am hoping that sharing a little about me will ease some of that stress. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in OCD and Anxiety Disorders. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Exposure Response Prevention and Inference Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat OCD. Although I work with a variety of populations, my passion is working with children and adolescents. Much of my career has been centered around working with this population in a variety of settings including inpatient, school-based, and outpatient private practice. It is my belief that it truly does take a village to support our children. I find joy in being able to play a small part in that village. It is my goal that children feel heard, empowered, and safe during sessions. Outside of the therapy setting, I enjoy reading, spending time with my husband and son, and going on long walks with my dog. I am also a military spouse and understand the personal challenges that come with frequent moves and adjusting to new environments. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I am here for you and your child.
