Mema Mansouri

Mema (She/Her) is a neurodivergent psychotherapist and the founder of Neurodiverse Counseling. She earned her Master of Social Work with honors from Boston University and is dedicated to supporting clients in Massachusetts, Maine, Florida, Washington D.C., and North Carolina. Mema is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (CCSP), with a deep commitment to fostering understanding and self-acceptance while uplifting and empowering her clients. ​ With a wealth of experience, Mema works collaboratively with children, adolescents, and adults to navigate challenges related to ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Her career includes meaningful work in community mental health clinics, K-12 schools, and university counseling centers. In her most recent role, she provided tailored individual therapy to students at esteemed institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Bentley University, and Tufts University. Mema’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). In addition to her therapeutic practice, she has extensive experience conducting ADHD and autism diagnostic evaluations for adults. This comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity allows her to tailor therapeutic interventions to each client's unique needs. Inspired by her own journey as a neurodivergent individual, Mema is passionate about helping others embrace their uniqueness and achieve personal growth. She welcomes clients and families from all backgrounds and is committed to working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, including those questioning their gender and/or sexuality. Through a compassionate approach, Mema helps clients overcome obstacles and build fulfilling lives, while ensuring that everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered.
