Introduction

Melody Alvarez, LPC-Associate, supervised by Alaina Hinojosa, LPC-S, is a dedicated therapist with a passion for supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She earned her B.S. in Rehabilitative Services from the University of Texas-Pan American in 2015 and her M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2019. Melody works with children (8– 12), teens (13–17), and adults, and has experience supporting individuals facing crisis, mental health challenges, and significant life changes. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, emphasizing safety, empowerment, and respect. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and expressive interventions, and is currently pursuing advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care. With a foundation in creativity and compassion, Melody creates a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re seeking support during a difficult time or working toward personal growth, Melody is ready to provide a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
