Introduction

Rebuild Connection. Deepen Intimacy. Heal Together. Hi, I’m Matthew Wilson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) based in Greensboro, North Carolina. I specialize in helping couples repair disconnection, rebuild trust, and rediscover the intimacy that first brought them together. Whether you’re feeling more like roommates than partners, caught in cycles of conflict, or struggling to communicate your needs — you’re not alone. I work with couples at all stages of their relationship to explore patterns, strengthen emotional bonds, and create lasting connection. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment-based approaches, I help partners move out of stuck places and into deeper, more secure connection. I also integrate tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support emotional flexibility and individual growth within the relationship. For clients who desire it, I offer faith-integrated counseling that draws from Christian values to support healing and growth. As someone with a background in ministry, I understand how deeply faith can shape a person’s view of love, commitment, and forgiveness — and I’m honored to walk alongside couples who want to include that spiritual dimension in their work. My clients often tell me they appreciate my grounded, compassionate style — and that they finally feel like they have a safe place to be honest about what’s not working. Whether you’re navigating communication issues, sexual disconnect, infidelity recovery, or you’re just feeling emotionally distant, we can work together to create meaningful change. I offer in-person sessions in Greensboro, NC, as well as virtual therapy across the state. I also provide longer sessions and couples intensives for those wanting to do deeper work in a shorter time. Let’s work together to help you feel seen, heard, and connected again. Therapy with me is honest, compassionate, and focused on connection. We’ll explore the patterns keeping you stuck and build practical tools for deeper intimacy. Whether working individually or as a couple, you’ll gain clarity, emotional insight, and a stronger sense of hope for your relationships.
