Hi, I’m Maria Vora, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC), Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) and the founder of Healix Counseling. As someone who has lived across cultures and witnessed the healing power of compassionate support, I bring a deep sense of empathy and cultural understanding into my work. I hold a dual master’s degree (M.Ed./Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University, and I’ve had the privilege of working in community mental health settings supporting adults facing challenges like anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, and major life transitions. I offer therapy in English, Hindi, and Gujarat to make therapy more accessible. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or seeking deeper personal growth, I aim to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and rooted in trust. In our work together, you can expect a space that feels safe, warm, and nonjudgmental—where your experiences are honored and your voice matters. My goal is to help you gain deeper insight into your emotions, patterns, and strengths, so that you can move through challenges with greater clarity and confidence. Clients often leave sessions feeling more grounded, understood, and empowered, with practical tools to manage anxiety, process trauma, navigate transitions, or break free from unhelpful cycles. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you—whether you're looking for short-term support or long-term healing. Above all, I want you to feel truly seen and supported as the expert of your own life. Therapy is your space, and I’m here to walk alongside you in that process.
