Introduction

Hello! At MK Therapy I believe one's mental health and well-being is essential to leading a happy and healthy life. Everyone's journey is unique and should be treated as such. I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, individualized, to meet the needs of each person. I view therapy as a collaborative process; we will work together, towards healing and growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) in the state of Kansas and fully trained as a Play Therapist. With over 16 years experience in the mental health field, I have primarily worked with children and families with significant trauma histories. I have experience working in Certified Community Mental Health Centers, schools, higher education and private practice. Additionally, I have 5 years of experience working in the Child Welfare system and have also been a foster and adoptive parent, which makes me uniquely qualified to work with both the children in foster care as well the individual(s) caring for them. I also enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate life's challenges and changes. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, meeting my clients where they're at, while offering a safe and supporting environment. - - - I also offer individual and group clinical supervision to MSW students interested in getting their clinical license.
