Introduction

Welcome I’m Elizabeth Brooks, a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR therapist based in Rochester, NY. With over 12 years of experience, I specialize in helping adults move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a sense of safety, trust, and meaning. I believe our struggles often make sense when we look at what we’ve lived through. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” I ask: What happened to you? How did you survive it? And how might those survival strategies still be shaping your life today? You are not broken. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns and beliefs that once helped you cope and create space for your strengths to guide you forward. Healing doesn’t have to happen under fluorescent lights. Whether online, in a traditional setting, or outdoors in Rochester, I offer flexible therapy options so you can be seen as a whole person in the space that feels right for you.
