My name is Lesley, and I'm here to walk alongside you in your journey to greater embodiment and authenticity. I believe it's never too late to come home to yourself whether you've endured trauma, loss, marginalization or other forms of harm and heartbreak. I would be honored to support you in your journey of healing and reconnection to yourself and others. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP-accredited counselor education program at Adams State University. I work primarily with adults in areas such as trauma, abuse, codependence, relationships, body image, and chronic illness with an emphasis on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, I am sex, kink and non-monogamy positive. My work is informed by my lived experiences as an ex-evangelical, queer woman. I operate from a feminist and relational cultural lens in order to view clients within the context of their lives and with respect to the unique identities they carry. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy and often draw on modalities informed by mindfulness, Gestalt theory, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. As a therapist, social justice advocate and lifelong learner, I am committed to continuously educating myself on ways to further decolonize my clinical practice. My approach as a therapist embodies a lens of transformative justice and harm reduction, and I treat each client relationship as an opportunity to collaborate wherein we work together to tap into therapeutic approaches that best suit the unique needs of the client. Additionally, my work incorporates a transpersonal and contemplative viewpoint that celebrates spirituality, the mind-body connection and the unique wisdom and gifts of each client.
