Hi! I’m LeAnn Donohue, a counselor intern currently earning my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwest Nazarene University. My journey into counseling began with a love for working with children of all ages and grew into a desire to help people across the lifespan. I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, a Master’s of Education, and am in my 20th year of classroom teaching. My approach to counseling is rooted in compassion, collaboration, authenticity, and a focus on each person’s strengths. I am passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard while working through challenges and creating positive change in their lives. The unique issues women may face throughout life are especially important to me, and I offer a warm, supportive environment as we walk together toward growth, understanding, and healing. Working with children is also a passion of mine, and I understand that play is a vital form of communication for them. My specialized training in Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy (which is also highly effective for adults) allows me to connect with children in ways that align with how they naturally express themselves.
