Lea Kinzer is a counselor with experience working with children and adults in community mental health, private practice, and intensive in-home settings. Her main passions involve working with young children (3+) and their parents. She also enjoys walking alongside young adults/college students, especially individuals with trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She provides a warm and open environment and often uses an attachment, somatic, IFS or parts work, and body-based lens in therapy. With young children, she integrates therapy through play and art into her sessions. Lea is trained in TF-CBT, Nurturing Parenting and is working on an ADHD-CCSP certificate. She holds two master's degrees. Her first is in Applied Child Psychology, informing her work with children with various emotional, behavioral, and developmental struggles. The second is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which informs her counseling with all clients. It is a courageous thing to reach out for help. Whether you are a parent, trying to break generational cycles of negative parenting, a youth who has finally asked for help, or a survivor in need of support and healing, you will be warmly welcomed and nurtured by Lea.
