Introduction

AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL THIS WAY? You feel overwhelmed and anxious most of the time, maybe more than ever before and you are finding it hard to know how to make it better. It can be hard to relax and let go of control as uncertainty feels scary but this is starting to negatively impact the important relationships in your life and maybe even leaves you feeling like a “bad mother, wife, friend or daughter.” You’re feeling more disconnected to yourself and your parent/partner/child/friend; but speaking up feels like you will burden them or will create conflict, and conflict should be avoided like the plague (or at least that’s how you’ve been operating). Sometimes you notice that irritation, anger, fatigue, and stress comes out in ways you don’t want it to. THIS ISN’T HOW I WANT TO FEEL OR ACT Maybe you want to know why you're feeling so anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, depressed, or having difficulties in your meaningful relationships. It’s impacting your marriage or other important relationships and leaves you feeling less confident in who you are. Many of my clients come to me because they want to find better ways to cope, make lasting changes, and learn how to love themselves and others in healthier ways. Therapy may be for you if: -You say yes to others or try not to “rock the boat” so that no one else gets upset but it leaves you feeling like something’s not right -You’re struggling to know how to control your worry, overwhelm, or fears -Feeling anxious, nervous, on edge many or a lot of times throughout your week -Don’t feel good enough or like a failure, especially in your relationships -You feel stretched too thin with work, parenting, or both & it’s affecting your life -Notice yourself avoiding confrontation or conflict, even saying how you feel seems difficult -Know you should set some boundaries but don’t even know how to start (“what if they think I’m mean?”) STRIVING TO BE A CONNECTED, CALM YOU My aim is to help you navigate feelings of anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, guiding you back to who you were truly made to be. We'll work together to understand the root causes of these emotions, fostering a deeper self-awareness, and helping you become more grounded in your life through guided mindful and regulating practices. We’ll meet for your initial intake session to get a sense of what your needs are and where I can help. I love helping clients who want to have meaningful, healthy, and enriching relationships with themselves and those around them, people who are motivated & want to dig beneath the surface. This may feel scary or vulnerable at first, but our pace, what you disclose, & how we approach solutions & coping is up to you. I will challenge you (in a gentle way), encourage you, & help you find the tools you need to be a calmer, more empowered you. At a young age, I read a novel that changed the course of my life and I was inspired by the healing work therapy provided for those recovering from trauma, anxiety, and relationship issues. I decided to pursue psychology in order to be a therapist so that I could walk alongside women who have experienced difficulties in their lives that prevent them from flourishing. Both personally and professionally, I've witnessed how therapy can transform people's journeys and move them towards healthy and full lives. I’m truly passionate about this work, and I am honored to support every person I spend time with.
