Introduction

I’m Juan Carlos Zepeda, LMFT. I’m a licensed psychotherapist in private practice and specialize in the effects of childhood wounds, trauma, and loss. In my years of working with clients and deepening my understanding of mental and emotional health, I’ve come to realize that re-embracing who we authentically are is paramount to enjoying a fulfilling life. Many of us lose touch with ourselves and carry emotional burdens due to trauma, childhood wounds, cultural pressure, or the accumulated stress of daily coping and conforming. I offer trauma-informed, Gestalt psychotherapy. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, but about fostering a stable, trusting relationship and helping you reconnect with yourself as a pathway for healing and freedom. From connection stems the power to address the concerns that weigh on you, whether from the past, present, or future worries that feel heavy and real now. The process is tailored to you, considering your current life situation, personal story, and what we discover and understand about you along the way. My genuine hope is that you feel in good hands along the way. I value being unassuming, approachable, and care very little about judging you. In fact, I’m more interested in destigmatizing and reclaiming natural human behavior that we have historically shamed and oppressed. I’m committed to fostering an inclusive space, and I welcome all of you. The people I work with have diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and I inform my approach based on the unique relationship I build with every single person I work with. I invite you to get in touch with me to speak; we may be a good fit.
