Hi, I’m Joy Ji, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a Master’s degree in Counseling, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have experience providing counseling to individuals, couples, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, including divorce, anxiety, depression, addiction, communication issues, and relationship concerns. My clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychoeducation, complemented by Genogram work from Bowen Family Systems Theory and Structural Family Therapy techniques inspired by Minuchin. I am also certified in Imago Relationship Therapy and Inner Child Therapy, and I often integrate mindfulness practices to foster a safe, supportive, and growth-oriented therapeutic environment. My goal as a therapist is to partner with clients in exploring the question, “What happened to you?”—helping them gain clarity about their past, uncover their inherent strengths, and move toward healing and empowerment. I believe that with the right support, meaningful transformation is always possible.
