Introduction

Hi, I’m Jess! I offer in-person therapy in Sacramento and telehealth across California. I work with children, teens, and adults, specializing in ADHD, autism, grief, anxiety, depression, and helping people who feel misunderstood or disconnected. I also specialize in working with those processing religious trauma and those navigating the complexities of being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. My practice is grounded in values of equity, advocacy, and justice—principles that guide every part of my work. I’m committed to a science-based approach, utilizing evidence-supported practices to help you find real, practical solutions. I like to say I specialize in “angst”—for people who feel misunderstood, rejected, angry, or grieving. Maybe you struggle to even name how you’re feeling, or you’re just unsure how to move forward. Perhaps you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or find yourself wanting to build confidence but feeling uncertain about where to start. No matter where you are, I’m here to help. I center creativity, compassion, love, and humor as essential elements of the therapeutic process. Whether through art, play, or body movement, I believe therapy should feel engaging and personal, meeting you where you are. My work draws on a mix of frameworks, including trauma-informed care and mindfulness, to help you feel safe and supported. Does any of this sound like your experience? My clients often include: - A young child grieving the loss of a loved one or experiencing an unexpected life change now struggling to connect at home or school, and acting out in school. - A high-achieving teen who’s suddenly feeling off-track and unmotivated, struggling to manage stress and find balance. - A teenager who feels different from their peers—especially when it comes to body image and relationships—and is navigating the emotional rollercoaster of puberty. - A college student who’s been holding it together for others but feels overwhelmed and disconnected from themselves. - A young adult diagnosed with ADHD or autism who’s relieved to have answers but uncertain about how this new knowledge will shape their future. - Someone navigating the aftermath of a breakup, questioning their own choices and struggling with trust in themselves. - A parent who’s noticing their teen's behavior shifting—whether through mood swings, anxiety, or withdrawal—and wants to understand how to better support them. - Someone processing religious trauma and trying to navigate healing from faith-based or spiritual harm, while rebuilding trust in themselves and their identity. My Approach: I’m here to support you in exploring your emotions, building confidence, and finding your way toward healing. Therapy with me is about getting to the heart of what's going on, finding real ways to cope, and helping you heal in a way that feels true to you. Whether you’re a teen navigating identity, a young adult adjusting to new diagnoses, or someone healing from religious trauma or a breakup, I’m committed to helping you find clarity and healing. If any of this resonates with you, let’s work together to create meaningful change in your life. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
