Dr. Ivonne M. Asencio, a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida, earned the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in School Psychology from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus. She brings over a decade of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals throughout different life stages, in both clinical and school settings. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Asencio helps clients feel safe, understood, and empowered during their therapeutic journey in a confidential and nonjudgmental environment. She has successfully treated a wide range of diagnoses, including ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, behavioral and learning disorders. Her practice includes psychological assessments and individual therapy, using models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Interpersonal Therapy (IT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether helping a child manage behavioral challenges, supporting a teen through emotional difficulties, or guiding adults toward greater self-awareness, Dr. Asencio is devoted to promoting mental health in all of her clients.
