I’ve always loved working with children—their curiosity, resilience, and honesty have inspired my professional path for over two decades. For 21 years, I’ve served as an Occupational Therapist, and for the past 9 years, I’ve worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Play Therapist. My deepest passion has been helping kids overcome the physical and emotional challenges that make daily life feel overwhelming—whether it’s anxiety about going to school, difficulties with sleep, sensory sensitivities, or trauma responses. Seeing a child smile again—watching them reclaim joy and confidence—is what has always fueled my work. But over the years, I began to feel the limitations of the traditional one-hour-a-week model. I saw how hard it was to carry the progress made in the therapy room into the everyday lives of children and their families. It became clear: children don’t grow in isolation. They grow in connection—with their caregivers, their environments, and the stories that have shaped their families for generations. As I began working more closely with parents, I witnessed their own pain—stories of trauma, disconnection, and survival. I started to see that healing a child often begins with healing the system around them. This realization stirred a deep shift in me, personally and professionally. In 2023, I joined Robyn Gobbel’s immersion program, The Baffling Behavior Institute. It was a turning point. Not only did it give me practical, neuroscience-informed tools to support families more holistically, but it also led me on my own journey—from disintegration to wholeness. I learned to slow down, to connect more deeply—with myself and with the families I serve. Amid this transformation, I found something truly special: Sozo House, a beautiful nonprofit created by Brook Smith. Through prayer and purpose, I found a place where I can offer what I always longed to—a safe, restorative space for individuals and families to pause, breathe, and heal more deeply. My work today is rooted in attachment, compassion, and connection. I’m here to walk with individuals, couples, and parents as they navigate their own stories, build stronger bonds, and rediscover their capacity for joy and resilience.
