I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) who obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Illinois University in 2019. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, empowered to work towards your goals, develop autonomy, and build a life worth living. I believe this can be achieved through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, a genuine and vulnerable connection, and open and honest communication. This quote, by Ashleigh Warner, describes my approach to my therapeutic work: “beneath every behavior there is a feeling, and beneath every feeling there is a need. When we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom.” When working with me, you can expect someone who is transparent, understanding, collaborative, kind, and focused on helping you reach the goals you set for yourself.
