I'm Dr. Elizabeth Ramjas, a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York. I specialize in working with adults facing challenges related to OCD, anxiety, and trauma, and with women experiencing challenges during the perinatal period. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University, followed by a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University, where I gained a strong foundation in research-informed treatment and clinical practice. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Bronx VA, where I received specialized training in trauma and its complex impact on mental health. This experience solidified my passion for working with individuals who have lived through difficult and often invisible experiences. Following internship, I pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, receiving advanced training in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and perinatal mental health. Additional training includes working at the OCD Center at Northwell Hospital and the Hofstra University Counseling Center. Today, I specialize in using research-supported therapies such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed approaches to help clients feel more grounded, empowered, and in control of their lives. Whether you're navigating intrusive thoughts, chronic worry, or the lasting effects of trauma, I strive to offer a therapeutic space that is collaborative, affirming, and genuinely supportive.
