Hi, I’m Elise Johnson, a licensed clinical social worker in both Maryland and Washington, DC. I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and find meaningful ways to grow, heal, and thrive. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marymount University, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from The Catholic University of America. I also hold a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University, which helps me bring a more holistic lens to my work—understanding not just mental health, but the broader social and environmental factors that can impact our well-being. I work with adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and trauma. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life. I offer evening and weekend hours to make therapy more accessible for those with busy schedules. If you’re thinking about starting therapy, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
