Introduction

At the heart of our practice is a commitment to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based support. Dr. Modestino brings a wealth of experience and a deeply personalized approach to counseling, specializing in anxiety disorders, depression, adult ADHD (often accompanied by Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria), LGBTQ+ concerns, neurodivergence, and relationship issues. Dr. Modestino is particularly skilled in working with individuals who have experienced developmental trauma and complex PTSD—especially those stemming from emotional abuse or challenging family dynamics involving personality disorders. His therapeutic work is rooted in an eclectic blend of modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs. Drawing from a Rogerian foundation, Dr. Modestino integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, experiential methods such as Gendlin’s Focusing, and the psychodynamic insights of Alice Miller. This integrative approach fosters deep healing and long-term growth. As a certified hypnotherapist, Dr. Modestino also offers targeted support for performance anxiety, test anxiety, fear of public speaking, and other anxiety-related concerns, helping clients unlock their full potential in everyday life. Our goal is to create a safe, affirming space where healing begins and lasting change is possible.
