I am a California licensed clinical psychologist. My practice currently has limited availability for new patients. I accept Aetna and Anthem insurance, and also welcome cash-pay clients. For those paying out of pocket, a superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan. I work with those who hold the relentless hope that life should be better than it is. I have helped adults with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD as well as those who are experiencing career and relationship challenges, cancer diagnoses, grief and loss, life transitions, feelings of loneliness and isolation. Besides my work as a psychologist, I am an adjunct instructor at Pepperdine University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have helped many dissertation students as both chair and reader, guiding a pathway with sound research methods and a plan to completion. Along with the traditional domains of psychology, I have also studied the human potential movement and mind-body healing for healthy functioning. Personally, I am now well into my fifth decade and have experienced the great wonders and joys of life along with its profound frustrations and deepest sorrows. I experienced almost 30 years of marriage, have raised a child to thriving adulthood and have reaped benefit from almost always owning a dog. I bring my empathy, curiosity, energy, education and professional expertise to sessions to create a treatment plan as unique as you for a more satisfying present and a more hopeful future. I truly understand that sometimes you need practical solutions for unique challenges and sometimes you need to find radical acceptance and understanding for that which can’t be changed.
