Introduction

Welcome to the Psychological Assessment Clinic! Taking the first step toward understanding yourself better is a powerful one. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I offer comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical services, all delivered conveniently and securely via telehealth. My aim is to provide you with clear insights and effective support, helping you navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and well-being. I specialize in culturally sensitive, clinical diagnostic assessment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders and conditions across the lifespan. About Psychological Assessment: Understanding Yourself Through Psychological Assessment Psychological assessment is a thoughtful and systematic process designed to gather reliable and valid information about your mental and behavioral functioning. This process is crucial for understanding your unique needs, whether it's for clarifying a diagnosis, developing a personalized treatment plan, or evaluating the effectiveness of past interventions. Through assessment, we explore various aspects that influence your well-being, including your medical history, psychosocial factors, and relationship dynamics. I use specialized psychological instruments to evaluate a broad range of areas such as your mood, mental status, cognitive abilities, personality, and emotional functioning. What to Expect from a Psychological Assessment: When you engage in a psychological assessment with me, you can expect a comprehensive and collaborative process that involves an initial clinical interview, psychological evaluation, and a feedback session. • Initial Clinical Interview: We'll begin with a thorough discussion covering your presenting concerns, psychological/psychiatric symptoms and their history; current mood and impact of symptoms or challenges on your functioning and wellbeing; existing coping strategies and sources of strength/resilience; cognitive functioning (e.g., attention, concentration, executive functioning); and relevant developmental and family history. •Record Review: I will review relevant medical records to gain a complete understanding of your background. •Tailored Evaluation: We'll assess key domains including mood and emotional conditions, mental status, adaptive functioning, and behavioral and interpersonal adjustment. I will evaluate when symptoms began, the severity of any issues and their impact on your daily life. •Clinical Decision-Making: Throughout the assessment, I engage in careful clinical decision-making to ensure the most accurate and helpful evaluation that is sensitive to you and your circumstances, identity, and context. •Integration of Information: Test results are carefully integrated with all other clinical information to provide a holistic picture. •Clear Feedback: You will receive a detailed report and engage in an interactive feedback session where we discuss the assessment results, their implications, and recommendations for your path forward. This feedback session is designed to be clear, understandable, and empower you with knowledge. Other Clinical Services: Beyond comprehensive psychological assessments, I also offer individual therapy. My approach is tailored to your unique needs, providing a supportive and confidential space for you to explore challenges, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth. •Individual Therapy: I provide evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help adolescents and adults address concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, and more. I specialize in supporting individuals and families navigating serious mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder). We will work collaboratively to develop strategies that support your mental health and overall well-being.
