Hi. I'm Gina. My clients describe me as relatable, passionate, and "gentle but fun." I'm not fond of awkward silences and want therapy to feel comfortable - like an ongoing, interactive conversation. While the process usually involves facing challenging feelings, I think it is just as important to laugh as to cry in therapy. As a relational therapist, I know feeling safe and understood is crucial to good mental health and well-being. Clicking with a therapist who “gets” you – one you trust can help you - is the foundation for successful therapy. I'm here to help you experience more fulfilling relationships, live more fully in the present, and find the best parts of yourself. I have been a licensed therapist for over 25 years. I received a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University in 1997 and a clinical doctoral degree (DSW) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. I've worked with individuals, couples, and families in various inpatient and outpatient settings and have built successful practices in Monmouth, Camden, and Atlantic Counties. I am also the founder of the GIA Institute of Psychotherapy, a private group practice and learning institute dedicated to advancing the quality and effectiveness of therapy. At the GIA Institute, we see children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Our clients face challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, problems with romantic partners or family, life transitions, or internal struggles. We'll schedule a consultation to discuss your specific needs and preferences to ensure the best possible match. We'll consider your cultural background, identity, goals, and financial situation to connect you with a therapist who is the ideal fit.
