Introduction

I work with children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief, trauma, life transitions, technology addiction, ADHD/ADD, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I help people of all ages find a way forward when life's journey brings disruption, complexity, or overwhelm. Through our counseling sessions, you'll begin a process of self-understanding and healing. You'll gain skills to identify and productively express your emotions. You'll discover communication and coping strategies that lead to positive personal and relational change. And, you'll reflect on what's working and what's not, so you can continue to make progress on your own. As a licensed school counselor, I offer support with parenting and school issues. I bring knowledge and understanding of systemic barriers to success, school climate frustrations, and classroom supports that parents can seek for their children. As a musician and former music educator, I utilize play therapy and music therapy techniques. I offer in-person sessions for all ages at two Portland office locations (inner SE and John's Landing), and virtual sessions for adults residing throughout Oregon. See my Psychology Today profile for more information, as well as photos of my two office locations: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/david-hall-explore-counseling-llc-portland-or/1516477 Call me today for a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you~
