Introduction

"Pay attention to your patterns. The way you learned to survive may not be the way you want to continue to live. Heal and shift." ~Dr. Thema When I began my career over twenty years ago, I worked closely with children and families within the education and juvenile probation systems. While the work was meaningful, I often felt something was missing. After taking time off for personal reflection and exploration, I was drawn to BASTYR UNIVERSITY’s LIOS program—part of a private, holistic, alternative healthcare university in the Pacific Northwest. Their philosophy resonated deeply with me: that every person deserves compassionate, client-centered care rooted in both science-based and natural healing practices. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science and am now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Board National Certified Counselor, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider, a Certified Trauma Professional, and a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist. I also hold the designation of Child Mental Health Specialist and serve as an approved Clinical Supervisor for interns and unlicensed clinicians working toward licensure in Washington State. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in both small nonprofit mental health agencies and large community health systems. These experiences have allowed me to serve diverse populations—especially those who are often marginalized—and to draw from a range of person-centered, trauma-informed treatment modalities that honor and build upon each client's inherent strengths PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: ** Licensed Mental Health Counselor, WA State #LH00010944 ** NBCC, National Certified Counselor: #1404995 ** CIMHP, Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider: #996784 ** WA State Approved Clinical Supervisor ** WA State Child Mental Health Specialist ** Certified Trauma Professional- #206109 ** Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist- #206109 *** NOTE: If you have Apple Health, Coordinated CARE, Molina MCO or any other WA State, MEDICAID plan, please note that I am "Out-Of-Network" and NOT a contracted provider.
