Introduction

Hi, I'm glad you're here. I'm Christine Rhyne and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who works with adults (18+) navigating the challenges such as eating disorders, trauma, grief, mood disorders, relational issues, life transitions, and the pressures of young adulthood. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a wide range of treatment settings, including residential treatment centers, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Most recently, I served as the Senior Director of Clinical Services for a leading eating disorder treatment facility in Southern California. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and compassionate—but I also believe in being honest and direct. Therapy with me isn’t about surface-level solutions; it’s about real, sustainable change. I show up as a human first, clinician second. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable being their full selves with me which allows them to be able to do the deeper work and live a more fulfilling life. Clinically, I use a flexible, client-centered approach, blending a variety of evidence-based modalities—including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and other evidenced based modalities—to meet your specific needs and goals. I also incorporate intentional self-disclosure when it feels supportive and relevant to your growth. When appropriate, treatment may include family or supportive others therapy, communication with outside providers, and referrals to higher levels of care—all aimed to support you in your journey toward a full and meaningful life I currently provide virtual therapy throughout California, with plans to begin offering in-person sessions soon for clients in or near Chico, CA. I hope to connect with you soon—and wherever your therapy journey leads, I’m rooting for you.
