Starting therapy is brave—and often, the hardest part is just getting here. If you’re reading this, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to explore support and begin on this journey. Whether or not you choose to work with me, I truly respect the step you’re taking. I’m a licensed mental health therapist with over 20 years of experience, working with you to address such challenges as: anxiety, worry, and rumination; self-worth and low self-esteem; depression (including persistent, low-level depression or depression related to major life events); and trauma—whether it’s complex or developmental, early childhood, chronic, or episodic. Every person’s needs in therapy are as unique as they are. That’s why I offer a range of approaches tailored to *you*. As with many therapists, my foundation is in traditional talk therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT). I also integrate other approaches depending on your needs and preferences, including a variety of "homework" strategies, including journal reflections, worksheets, podcasts, books, etc., mindfulness-based strategies, and somatic and body-based interventions. (Your brain and body share a nervous system—your inner "superhighway"—which means sleep, eating, energy, mood, and movement are all interconnected. Therapy with me often explores those connections in a way that’s practical and empowering.) Making Therapy Accessible is important to me. I know therapy is an investment of both time and money, and I’m committed to making it as reasonable as possible. Sessions fees are: $50 for a 30-minute session $75 for a 45-minute session I also offer a free 30-minute initial consultation (to see if we’re a good fit and to talk through options), as well as a four-pack of 75-minute sessions for $200 (to mimic the monthly subscriptions of some popular sites like BetterHelp). I currently offer virtual sessions on SimplePractice and BetterHelp. You’re welcome to reach out through either platform! https://www.betterhelp.com/carrie-gottschalk/ A Final Thought: I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can be to find the right therapist. I’d be honored to support you, whether our paths cross or I can help you find someone who’s a better fit. You deserve to be supported on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-understanding. Warmest wishes, Carrie
