Introduction

Hello, I'm Carmelle Beliard, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and licensed in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, and Illinois. I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to my practice. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling from Curry College. I completed my master’s degree in social work at Simmons University. As a compassionate and dedicated Haitian American therapist, I am committed to making a positive impact in the mental health field. I am passionate about investing in individuals from marginalized communities and promoting mental well-being. My approach is rooted in providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed therapy, particularly to diverse populations. I am experienced in addressing issues such as racial identity, anxiety, depression, systemic oppression, trauma, grief, and life/career transitions. I believe in personalized treatment plans to support and empower individuals to reach their full potential. As a bilingual therapist fluent in Haitian Creole, I value cultural sensitivity. Growing up in a Haitian household, I possess the language and cultural fluency necessary to establish a strong rapport and communicate effectively with clients from different cultural backgrounds. I understand the nuances of being raised in the Caribbean culture and its impact on interpersonal relationships, life journeys, and values. My goal is to provide a space that respects and addresses your needs, creating an inclusive and affirming environment where you feel heard, understood, and validated. In our work together, you will be supported in creating and implementing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed treatment plans, ensuring you receive personalized care tailored to your unique background and experiences. My education and experiences have equipped me with an understanding of the complexities of mental health issues and the importance of culturally responsive care. My mission is to support you on your journey to healing, providing you with the tools to embrace your true potential and live a fulfilling life. If you seek a compassionate and culturally sensitive therapist to help you navigate life’s challenges, let's embark on this transformative journey together.
