Hello! I’m Brittany Haywood, LPC Associate, practicing under the supervision of Raikeya Collins, LPC-S.I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, supportive, and inviting—a space where you can show up as your full self and feel truly acknowledged and understood. My style is collaborative and client-centered; I walk with you through your healing journey, respecting your individuality and allowing your personal goals and values to guide our work together. My approach to therapy is rooted in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I believe emotional and physical health are deeply interconnected, and I work to uncover and address the underlying causes of distress, not just surface symptoms. I use an integrative approach that combines person-centered therapy, Goal setting, Somatic Trauma informed techniques, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you connect more deeply with your thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences. By understanding how your internal world shapes your day-to-day life, we work together to foster meaningful change, resilience, and emotional clarity. The goal is to support your journey toward inner peace, balance, and long-term growth. To me, therapy is a space for powerful insight and change. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, or difficulties in relationships, I’m here to help you navigate challenges and move toward healing and self-empowerment. I received my bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education from Prairie View A&M University and earned a master’s in counseling and development from Lamar University. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading a good book, staying active, spending quality time with my husband and children, and being outdoors whenever I can.
