Introduction

We're here to help you love the ones who matter most. The average couple waits 6 years of feeling discontent before seeking therapeutic support. Poor communication creates a greater divide than physical distance ever could. You don’t have to stay disconnected. With some support, conflict can be an opportunity for closeness. Even if things feel solid now, all relationships can be deepened and strengthened. We believe that lifelong desire is about sustained curiosity. We help you hear the messages your emotions are sending and explore reactions and thinking patterns. We aim to improve your communication and increase closeness. Happy couples fall into unhelpful communication patterns too! For most of us, these patterns are hard to see clearly in our own relationships. In counseling, you'll start to understand your patterns and get a chance to create a more connective, supportive dynamic. Couples therapy is not all about problems! We know you fell in love for really good reasons. We look to building on the unique strengths that brought you together. Sometimes you just need an open ear and supportive relationship. It is our privilege to be there for you in challenges as well as discovering edges for growth and expansion. We love working with individuals too. Therapy can be a safe, non-judgmental space to explore, understand, and just practice being yourself. Gain insight, get feedback, and learn tools in a supportive setting. Our Approach While each therapist brings their own training and experience, our work is informed by two methods of couples therapy. The Gottman Method which is based on over 40 years of research and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy which has the highest success rate of any method for helping couples. Research shows that 73% of couples going through EFT go from distress to health. Using these and other evidence-based practices, we individually tailor our approach for your unique relationship. We work together to create the trust, connection and closeness you want. All of our clinicians are also trained in treating depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. We use an individualized, strengths-based approach informed by cutting-edge research.
