I am currently completing a psychology internship under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Jackson while pursuing a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Brigham Young University. As an intern, I meet with Dr. Jackson weekly to consult on cases and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from his decades of experience. I also provide individual and group therapy to students through BYU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). I have experience working with clients who want to address: • Perfectionism and self-criticism • Anxiety and depression • Obsessive thoughts and behaviors • Relationship dynamics and boundary setting • Healing from traumatic experiences • Life transitions, loss, and grief • Spirituality, faith, and religious concerns • Sexual behavior and pornography use • Sexual orientation and gender identity • Body image and eating-related concerns In my therapeutic work, I often draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). I also have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring my methods to the unique needs of each client. For those who request it, I enjoy incorporating a spiritual lens into therapy, particularly one aligned with Christian/Latter-day Saint beliefs and values. I place great importance on understanding each client’s goals, expectations, and hopes for therapy. I recognize that some individuals prefer to be challenged and pushed in session, while others seek a safe, supportive space to process and feel listened to and understood. Some clients value setting goals and being held accountable, while others need a place to simply ‘be’ without any pressure. My aim is to create a therapeutic experience that feels meaningful and aligned with what you are looking for and I always appreciate feedback. A bit about me: I grew up in Seattle, Washington, and moved to Utah to attend BYU in 2005. Before pursuing a career as a Psychologist, I worked in the BYU Office of Belonging and University Relations. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, playing tennis and pickleball, and serving with my faith community.
